It's SO hot 'round here! Not even June yet! It's NINETY DEGREES around here! And No, we didn't turn on AC!!! It was very hot yesterday, too. Right now, Olivia and Ellie are out in the sprinkler. I'm getting ready to go to therapy, with Grandpa, and Sky is getting a new cast.
Well, with the hot weather, my herbs are going to be growing pretty good. I've got "QUITE A FEW" sunflowers, forty marigolds. That's all with flowers, but got a couple varieties of herbs.
- Sweet Basil, one of the most common. I'll be giving away a few plants, and drying/freezing a lot. They're Annual (I think) and I have forty-four plants.
- Parsley- Straight leaf. Thirty two plants, and as I said, will be giving and drying a lot.
- Chives- Lots of 'em.
- Rosemary- They are growing SO SLOW. But at least they're up. I had researched them, and it said that it was NO use growing them, few people have any luck. It took about three weeks to sprout, but when I first saw it, I was jumping up and down!!!!! So much fun.
- Thyme- just now coming up.
- Lime Basil- starting to sprout.
- Cilantro- Growing great!!!!!! I love Cilantro… It's so fresh tasting.
Well, when the plants get large enough, I will be giving a few away! Because, I don't think our family can eat them!!!
Oh yeah, I forgot… I have spearmint, too. I didn't plant them; My Grandma bought four plants for me. Tastes great.
Does Anyone know where you can buy Lavender seeds? I have looked at Lowes, and Wal-Mart, but I couldn't find any!!!Also, if you have any tips for herbs, LET ME KNOW!!!!
Haven't sold any sunflowers yet, but hoping to. No Grandma, you can just have them… I AM NOT selling them to you!
