So this one will not be updated. I will be using this one to test out HTML.
Also, I made a custom header for my new blog. I love it! I'm super happy about it.
Well. Enough for now. God Bless and go check it out!
Snapfish is having a contest, read more about it here.
So I shared with you the green, the blue, and Snapfish's yellow just opened. So here goes. Let me know what you think, okie doke?
I literally took this about a half hour ago.
Julia's trycicle. Interesting View.
I love, love, love, love, love... ok, love, the water drops on this wilted flower.
Grand Finale. Seriously Everyone, I took this picture a whole eleven months ago. However, this continues to be my absolute favorite of all the pictures I have taken. If you would have asked me that, I would have told you that this is. I love the color. the focus. the "unfocused" flowers in the background. Everything about this picture, I love! I was so super happy about this one.
Sometimes I sit here and my mind goes blank. It's "writely" called writer's block. I sit here and stare at the empty text box. I start typing something then... backspace. Eventually, I might find something- post some random pictures- maybe what we've been doing, or just anything. anything. I laugh sometimes when I'm reading older posts. Or in my case- blogs.
Let's see. In the past two/three years, I have started a whopping amount of ok... are you ready?
a little too much.
yeah. a little too much.
So why don't I give you the links?
Here's my first one.
My First Blog ever=DTrust me. This one is so old and was started when I was quite young, maybe ten or eleven. Most of the pictures are blurry and the text- looking back now- needs desparately changed! I would encourage you to go take a look, it's quite... ahem, interesting. My Wordpress Blog.
After that one, my dad's and mine blog started mildly messing up. I think that's what happened, I'm not for sure on that...lol. So we gave a try on Wordpress. I was still quite young at the time, and Wordpress just was a little too diffucult too understand, at the time. So back to Blogger I went, establishing a blog that I have kept for the longest amount of time. It is actually this blog. Its URL was once www(dot)agirlslifeinjesuschrist(dot)blogspot(dot)com. But I changed it to what it is now. With A Vision
Ok. Once I had A Girls Life Established, one of my best friends and cousin, (both "fanatics" concerning web design, blogging, photography, and learning everything we can about the computer- it's system, and learning programs!!=D) started a blog. It is dead right now, someday it is going to be living again! I do have a vision for this blog. I hope to use it in the future- but for right now, the LORD has not clearly directed. And we don't update it because I already have two, and she's in a situation where she really can't. So for right not, it's well, as I said, dead.
Lastly, I started this one that I update several times a week. Delighting In Him
I do enjoy updating this one.
So, who all agrees that I should just stick with this one- my photo blog- and Delighting In Him?
Also, If Anyone out there Is interested In doing any Guest Blogging, See here.
ps. I actually just started a Test Blog on Wordpress yesterday. I just wanted to learn a little more, and as I said, since it IS just a test blog, I'm not giving you the link. That is number 6.
Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it. It's fun to go look at your old blogs. Have a great day Followers and Friends- God Bless!
I was alerted to this by my piano teacher, whose daughter enjoys photography as well, so everyone say "Thank you, Mrs. H!"
For what, you say? If you are the type of person who is most often found in free time with camera, or are not satisfied with just one picture, or just maybe that you spend more time editing pictures than reading your favorite blogs while you are on your computer- well then, maybe this is for you.
I realize that ya'all don't have a chance with me entering. Not one. Nor do those million other great photographers. (I'm being silly now.) Well now. The grand prize is a HP mini computer and a photosmart printer, and 20 second place winners win 20 8x11 photobooks. But even if you don't win--- you can still get a free softcover photobook if you enter in all the colors. Confused? Check out this.
The coolest thing is that each week they have a new color. I entered the blue (last week,) and green (this week.) But I wasn't alerted to it until just yesterday in an email, (again, thank you, Mrs. H.) so I uploaded four (you can do up to five photos for each color!) for each. So I thought I would let ya'all know. Right?
Hmm. You can't very well have a photography blog without doing some pics with each post, right? So, I figured that I would do the ones I entered yesterday. Here goes.
The fourgreen ones
This was taken... funny, at my piano teachers house just recently, like two weeks ago.
I love the focus on this one. I love how it blurs and just everything in this picture. It seriously couldn't have turned out better.
A homemade swing set/playhouse that I took at a friends house. I <3love<3 the lighting.
This pic I took over Easter. My cuz Kelsey. I love the old shed in this one. I liked it better in an antique black and white, but you know, then I couldn't have entered it. =D
My blue photos
I reeeeeaaaalllllllllllyyyyyy like this one. Especially the shadow of her. And the difference of the ocean and sky in the background. And the white wave. And the way the picture is... hmmm. I can;t think of the word. Depth, maybe?=D This was taken in February (notice the sweater) at Myrtle Beach. (It was cold!)
Oooooh, I love this one. totally. Although I just realized a few minutes ago that I forgot to crop out the bottom of it- the railing. This was taken off the eighth or ninth floor (Again, I can't remember!!!) in Myrtle Beach. Beautiful view. This was taken by our door, but we also had a balcony that was just as cool, and I got some pics of the city off that one.
Big Sandy TX- right before bed, right before the storms hit. I love the way the trees are angled and the sunlight and the few little clouds.
Ellie. How could anyone guess- by looking at this picture- what her favorite color is???
Well ya'all. Hope you go over there and check it out! Let me know if you did- and if you decide to post your pictures, let me know so I can see too!
..The.Winners.Are.Being.Announced... Isn't this exciting! Before I proceed I would like to tell all of you that I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was so much fun. So on the first day of Summer, I am ending my giveaway and going to make someone's day!!

Giveaway Closes on The First Summer Day- Tuesday, June 21st at 12 pm.
Summer days are for riding your bike... in your swimsuit.
little accident, Bubs?
Ellie: yeah, she loves a lot of things: but nothing quite like pink.
Classy: eating watermelon, on your bike, barefoot, in your modest swimsuit? Not caring about anything else in this world besides getting down that driveway safely.
summer days are for birds.
Ellie... sure, she's a princess. She loves to be treated royally. She can't stand doing dishes. She gets grossed out at anything gross. Yet, underneath all that delicacy, is a little tomboy. She's discovered that you can't just "ride your bike." Both feet off to one side. Standing up with one leg off to the side. Standing on the bar. And eating watermelon while you are riding. oh yeah.
She still smiles.
Summer Days are for Evening Sunlight.
Summer Days are for drinking iced tea. On the Porch. Andy Griffith Style.
Summer Days is for Growing.
Summer Days ae for being a daredevil.
And funny looks.
Daniel was sitting next to me on the porch and he was thoughtfully eyeing my camera strap. He asks, "Ashlyn, what does that say?" I said, "Olympus."
He then inquires the inevitable question: "What does that mean?"
I replied: "That's who made the camera. Olympus. That's what they call them."
And a moment pause- and with a serious air while fingering my strap, asks, "But do they still call them cameras?"
