The SlideShow...of Sarah-she's finally adopted! The only thing is that I spelled Kristin wrong-or rather 'court' spelled it wrong. When the final adoption day was here, we changed her name to Sarah Kristin Y-----. So her initials are S.K.Y., like her name before! We wanted it Kristen, but they wrote it as Kristin.
So after waiting since April 12th, 2007, we have her finally adopted!!! There is a part in there of where she was in the hospital, when we first ever saw her, at Ranken Jordan, (when children get injured, they go there for rehabilitation) and as she progresses. A couple of the pics are blurry, but not really bad. I added music, just music of the sample thing on the computer. It's good, Symphony No. 3.
A brief survey of what went on in her life since April of 2007.
- May of '07, brain surgery.
- Around that summer, she showed good developmental progress, especially in physical.
- November of '07, another brain surgery.
- December of '07, she started walking. (!!!)
- Some where in that first part of that next year, she had another brain surgery.
Well, '08 was, 'calm', There was nothing major. I think that in the end of '08 or beginning of '09, is when she got glasses, and then November of '09 she started an Early Learning School. That has helped her so much. Her communicative skills have 'sky'rocketed since then.
Her life is a testimony of God's hand at work. Some doctors did not even expect her to live, and if she did, not be able to walk, talk, etc. .But she not only did live, but is walking, talking, and amazing people! Here is an awesome testimony:
When Sky was brought into the hospital, they immediately airlifted her to a bigger hospital. They all thought she was going to die.
My Aunt, who attended a women's Bible study, kept asking for prayers for her niece. One lady got a little curious, (she was a nurse at the first hospital they brought her into,) and asked who and what happened to her niece. My Aunt, knowing she was a nurse there, asked if she remembered a little girl being brought into the hospital, in Feb. of '07, who was hurt and thay had to air lift her to another hospital. The lady replied that, 'Yes she did." My aunt told her that that was her niece. The lady exclaimed that it was impossible, she couldn't of lived. My aunt than asked her if the little girl had bright blue eyes and blond hair. The lady said she did, but it was impossible, she had to have died- there was no way for her to live. My Aunt flipped open her phone, showed her a picture of her, and asked, "Is that her?" The lady began crying, and told my Aunt that all the doctors did not expect her to live, and just assumed that she had died, and that hospitals weren't supposed to relay information about patients. She was really excited and couldn't wait to tell other nurses and doctors about it!!!
Isn't that a cool story? Enjoy the Slideshow!
